ELEVATION:
Ranges from approximately 7,200 feet in Edwards. Lake Creek is a long alpine valley that begins around 7,100 feet and rises up to 7,600 feet.
CLIMATE:
Located down-valley from the major Vail Valley resorts, the lower elevations of Edwards and Lake Creek have milder winters, and spring comes earlier in the year. The higher elevations of Lake Creek have a high-alpine climate similar to the higher elevations of the Vail Valley.
POPULATION:
The Lake Creek valley is sparsely populated, and the combined permanent, year-round population of Edwards and Lake Creek is approximately 8,500 residents.
